After a week on the road in Wellington for work, Taranaki beckoned for either a surf, fish or hunt or all three!
On Saturday we managed a surf around Stent Road, then onto a coastal lagoon where we picked up a few Canadian Geese and a parry. With light fading we jump shot a friends pond to add a few Mallards to the menu! The feast was on. Smoked Marlin, Venison, Goose and Mallard!
Quite content with the weekend, a few ales flowed only to be offered a spot on a local’s big tin called “Keeper” for Sunday. If only it could stay true to it’s name, would the weekend be one to remember…
The boat certainly lived up to its name, providing a feed for the four anglers and their extended families!
